University Courses and Seminars

Conferencies

We offer a wide range of courses and seminars at universities, aimed at fostering knowledge and skills in various areas of cooperative urbanism, sustainable mobility, gender perspective, child perspective, accessibility, and interculturality. Our programs are designed to provide solid theoretical training and enriching practical experience.

One-Week Seminar:
"EVERYDAY URBANISM: COOPERATIVE URBAN TRANSFORMATION PROCESSES"

The seminar “Everyday Urbanism: Cooperative Urban Transformation Processes” creates a space for reflection and a practice lab to ensure community well-being in urban transformation processes. This course aims, on the one hand, to enhance cooperation among students, recognize each other’s “superpowers,” and federate the group’s abilities. On the other hand, it helps them create a toolkit and methodology for cooperative urban transformation that can be adapted to different locations and contexts.

Through this seminar, students will learn to approach a project with quantitative and qualitative criteria, using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) methodology. During the seminar, students will cooperate to make in-situ observations of a public space, interview experts from various disciplines, and develop methodologies to incorporate the citizen perspective and unrepresented groups. The result of this one-week seminar will be the co-design of their own urban transformation process.

Hourly Presentations at Universities

We offer hourly presentations at universities on topics related to cooperative urbanism, gender perspective, child perspective, sustainable mobility, accessibility, and interculturality. These presentations provide a general and in-depth view of these crucial topics, fostering debate and learning among students.

We are open to new collaborations and exploring new ways to train the new generations of policy-makers. For more information, contact us at info@plaestel.org.
